YAY rant time for Lindsey!

ok so i just realized there is a petition going on to include body modifications in the equal employment rights…i’m trying to decide if i want to sign or not…i really hate having to always think about my future as i want to get another piercing or tattoo, i wanna be a teacher and i wanna work with kids for the rest of my life and i don’t think it should matter whether or not i have a couple more piercings then someone else…it should depend on how dedicated i am to my job how i work with the kids and if i am good at it…now i understand the professionalism of it…but my dad has told me of the people who have been amazing at their jobs and they had entire sleeves of tattoos that worked for him…I can see maybe a full body tattoo or a forked tongue being distracting…but if you have more than your ears or nose pierced and more than one tattoo you should still be able to work in more places than a tattoo parlor, hot topic, or some other store like that…i don’t know i don’t think it’s going to change to soon because people will always stereotype and not really look past first impressions but i would like to not have to worry about how people will respond to me when i first meet them…sorry for the rant…i need a clear form of thinking…help me work it out?
